The Nigerian Navy Chaplain School Roman Catholic (NNCS-RC) was established by the Nigerian Navy Order (NNO) 10/13 dated 17 Mar 13 along with some other departments that were yet to have their professional schools. The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) gave the marching order for the schools to commence training vide HQNTC:015/75A/14/Vol.1/38 dated 15 Oct 15. However, training for the Chaplain School actually commenced in January 2016 vide CND DOT 02/16 dated 22 Jan 16. The school was established at Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS QUORRA) in order to ensure the professional training of chaplain personnel as well as retraining for career progression.
